Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Ashgabat

Arrive at Ashgabat International Airport . After a warm greeting from our representatives, embark on a city tour of Ashgabat, famously recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s most marble -clad city. Highlights include the Wedding Palace, Ferris Wheel, Constitution Monument, Arch of Neutrality, Independence Park, Ertogrul Gazi Mosque, and the Olympic Stadium. Overnight in Ashgabat.

Day 2 Ashgabat – Anau - Mary

Following breakfast, depart for Mary (350 km). En route, stop in Anau to explore the historical ruins of the 15th – century Seyitjemalledin Mosque. Upon arrival in Mary, take a downtown tour covering the Regional Library and Observatory, Central Theatre, various local monuments, and the Regional Mosque. Conclude the day with visits to the lively Mary Bazaar and a historical Russian Orthodox Church. Overnight in Mary.

Day 3 Mary – Ancient Merv - Ashgabat

After breakfast, drive to Ancient Merv, a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and former Silk Road hub. Explore the Kyz Gala fortresses, Erk Gala, Gyaur Gala, and the Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum. Afterward, visit the ‘Ancient Turkmen Hearth’ Tourist Zone to view national animals like the Akhal -Teke horse, see traditional handicrafts, and enjoy local refreshments before driving back to Ashgabat. Overnight in Ashgabat.

Day 4 Ashgabat – Darvaza Gas Crater

After breakfast, visit the Turkmen Carpet Museum, home to rare hand -woven masterpieces. In the afternoon, embark on a 4WD drive (4 hours) into the Karakum Desert to witness the famous burning Darvaza Gas Crater alongside nearby water and mud craters. Enjoy a traditional barbecue dinner beneath the desert sky and spend the night in a national yurt or tent camp.

Day 5 Darvaza - Ashgabat

Enjoy a picnic -style breakfast before driving back to Ashgabat (5 hours) to check into your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the National Museum of History & Ethnography, visit the poignant Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex, and discover the ancient Parthian Fortress of Nissa (UNESCO). On the return drive, stop by the grand Turkmenbashi Ruhi Mosque and Mausoleum. Overnight in Ashgabat. Day 6 Ashgabat – Arkagag – Gokdepe - Ashgabat

Head towards Gokdepe , passing through Arkadag, Turkmenistan’s newly built “smart city.” Visit a local stable to see the world -famous Akhal -Teke horses and tour the historic Gokdepe Fortress and Saparmyrat Hajy Mosque. Next, enjoy an authentic home visit with a local family to learn traditional crafts and cook national dishes, ending with a shared lunch. Return to Ashgabat to explore the vibrant Gulistan Bazaar for local produce and souvenirs. Overnight in Ashgabat.

Day 7 Depart Ashgabat

After breakfast, followed by check -out by 12:00 PM. Transfer to the airport for departure, taking home sweet memories of the trip.
