  • Gorilla Trekking Guidelines: • Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park involves 2 to 7 hours of hiking across steep, rugged rainforest terrain at altitudes up to 2,600m. • Moderate to good physical fitness is required. • Minimum age for gorilla trekking permits is 15 years. • Direct viewing time with gorilla families is strictly limited to 1 hour to protect wildlife.
  • Flight & Luggage Restrictions: • Internal bush flights strictly enforce a maximum baggage limit of 15 kg (33 lbs) per traveler in soft-sided bags. • Hard suitcases and wheeled luggage with rigid frames are not permitted on internal bush aircraft.
  • Visa & Entry Requirements: • Entry visas are required for Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. • The East Africa Tourist Visa covers entry to both Uganda and Kenya. • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the departure date with at least 4 blank visa pages.
  • Health & Vaccinations: • Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all travelers entering Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. • Malaria prophylaxis is strongly advised for all safari destinations.

Day 1 Arrive in Entebbe, Uganda

Welcome to Entebbe, surrounded by the Ziki Forest near the shores of Lake Victoria. Hotel rooms are available for mid-afternoon check-in.

Day 2 Entebbe - Kihihi - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, board your flight to Kihihi, where you’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and your base for gorilla trekking. Following lunch at the lodge, set out on a guided nature walk through lush gardens overlooking the Munyanga River.

Day 3 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Mountain Gorilla Trekking)

This morning, gather for an insightful briefing from expert rangers before setting out on your unforgettable gorilla trek. Accompanied by skilled trackers, journey through the dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s gorilla families. Once located, enjoy a full hour quietly observing them as they eat, groom, and play.

This morning, return to Kihihi for your flight to Entebbe, connecting onward to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi by mid-afternoon with the remainder of the day free to relax and unwind.

Guided sightseeing starts with a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park. Then visit Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to learn about elephant conservation. Visit Karen Blixen Museum, dedicated to the author of Out of Africa, enjoy lunch in the gardens, and visit the Giraffe Centre.
