Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Perth

Upon arrival at Perth International Airport, you will be met and greeted by your local representative. Transfer directly to your hotel for check-in and the remainder of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2 Mandurah Dolphin Cruise – Fremantle

Breakfast at hotel, and start your day with a morning drive towards the coastal city of Mandurah. Here, you will board a 1-hour and 15-minute Dolphin Cruise & Views Tour along Mandurah’s pristine, calm inland waterways and luxury canal estates. Keep your camera ready to spot wild Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins feeding and playing alongside the boat, as well as native wetland birdlife like pelicans, ospreys, and black swans. Your marine guide will provide engaging live commentary on the area’s rich marine ecology and heritage landmarks. Afterward, take a short stop to admire the famous Mandurah Giant sculpture. In the afternoon, head over to the historic port city of Fremantle. Explore its famous Victorian architecture, bustling markets, and lively waterfront precinct before returning to Perth in the evening.

Day 3 Pinnacles Desert

After breakfast, journey north along the scenic Indian Ocean Drive to the coastal town of Lancelin. Get ready for an adrenaline rush as you slide down the massive, snow-white sand dunes on a sandboard. Next, head further up the coast to Cervantes for a visit to the famous Lobster Shack. Take a fascinating behind-the-scenes guided tour of the live lobster processing facility to learn about WA’s multi-million-dollar rock lobster export industry. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch right on the waterfront, featuring half a fresh lobster for adults and classic fish and chips for children. In the afternoon, enter Nambung National Park to wander among The Pinnacles mystical, ancient limestone pillars rising up to 3.5 meters out of the golden desert sands. End your day with a comfortable drive back to Perth.

Day 4 Rottnest Island

Breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a Seat-In-Coach (SIC) ferry and bus experience to Rottnest Island. Take a scenic ferry ride down the Swan River or from the coast over to this car-free island paradise. Your package includes an all-day Hop-On Hop-Off Bus pass, allowing you to explore Rottnest’s 63 secluded beaches, turquoise bays, and scenic boardwalks at your own pace. Don’t forget to look out for the island’s world-famous, friendly resident the quokkas. Return by ferry to Perth in the late afternoon.

Day 5 Perth City Tour – Swan Valley & Caversham Wildlife

Begin your morning with an orientation tour of Perth’s key landmarks. Drive past Parliament House, St. Georges Terrace, Barrack Street Arch, Council House, the Governor’s Residence, the modern Elizabeth Quay, and the iconic Swan Bell Tower, ending with sweeping city views from Kings Park. From the city, venture into the famous Swan Valley region for a feast of local flavors. Enjoy a refined wine tasting experience at Sandalford Wines, followed by sweet stops at The House of Honey, Morish Nuts & Mondo Nougat (note: closed on Mondays), and the Whistler’s Chocolate Company. Finish your afternoon at Caversham Wildlife Park, where you can meet hand-feedable kangaroos, pose with koalas, and encounter iconic native Australian wildlife up close before transferring back to your hotel.

Day 6 Wave Rock

Set out early into Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region. Your first stop is York, WA’s oldest inland township, known for its charming, beautifully preserved heritage architecture. Continue through rural landscapes, making a quick, touching stop at the unique local Dog Cemetery. Arrive at Hyden to stand beneath Wave Rock, a striking 15-meter-high granite cliff naturally sculpted like a massive breaking ocean wave over 2.7 billion years. Explore nearby geological features including Hippo’s Yawn a rock formation resembling a yawning hippopotamus and Mulka’s Cave, home to ancient Indigenous hand stencil art and folklore. After taking in the outback sights, return to Perth for your final evening.
